		<description>I recently upgraded to 3 and noticed that the Auto Tone seems to be a fair bit better.  Still not quite &quot;magic&quot; but fairly usable, for a guide if nothing else.  It now uses fill light (yay!).  Ultimately I tend to do things by eye at the end of the day.  It&#039;s time consuming, but since the finished photo is quite subjective I think you&#039;ll only get so far.  I&#039;d love to see the algorithm they use as would you, but I&#039;m guessing it&#039;s considered proprietary :)

You should download the LR3 trial and do a comparison.  If nothing else I think 3 is worth it for the vastly improved noise handling -- it&#039;s like getting an extra stop from all your lenses for $99.</description>
