The prices have dropped to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&amp;location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FMemorex-8-5Gb-Layer-25-Pack-Spindle%2Fdp%2FB0009DT87O%2Fsr%3D8-1%2Fqid%3D1162044359%3Fie%3DUTF8%26s%3Delectronics&amp;tag=cafeaulait&amp;linkCode=ur2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325\">about $2 a disc<\/a>, and are likely to fall fast throughout the next year. Maybe I&#8217;ll wait till I&#8217;m about to the bottom of my current spindle of 4 Gig DVDs, and then upgrade. <\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.macworld.com\/2006\/10\/reviews\/lacied2\/index.php\">LaCie d2 DVD+\/-RW with LightScribe<\/a> looks like a good deal at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smalldog.com\/product\/38513\">$175<\/a>. Burning labels right onto the disc would be cool, and this model includes a full version of Toast 7 Titanium which I could use. I&#8217;ve been limping along with Toast 6 for the time being, since I totally don&#8217;t trust Roxio&#8217;s upgrade rebates. (They&#8217;ve cheated me on those before.)<\/p>\n<p>Anyone have any experience with this drive? <!-- How easy is it to install in a PowerMac G5? Do I have to replace the existing drive, or can I actually have two removable drives?
