Just because Blu-Ray has lost, does not imply HD-DVD has won. HD-DVD could still screw this one up, and very well may. Its annoying copy protection schemes and refusal to play at full quality on any TV or monitor I currently own pretty much eliminates any small incentive I might have to upgrade. <\/p>\n
Personally, classic DVD is high enough quality as I feel like I need for anything. I can’t easily tell the difference between a wide screen DVD and an HDTV broadcast, and I doubt most people can either. Unless stores and rental outlets stop carrying classic DVDs (much as they’ve stopped carrying VHS) I don’t see any particular reason I should buy an HD-DVD player.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Game over.
