I didn&#8217;t bring my scope, but I never really needed it. Total species count for the trip was 21 including six life birds:<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fieldfare<\/li>\n<li>Hooded Crow<\/li>\n<li>Jackdaw<\/li>\n<li>Rock Pigeon<\/li>\n<li>Wood Pigeon<\/li>\n<li>White Wagtail<\/li>\n<li>Magpie<\/li>\n<li>Mallard<\/li>\n<li>Common Guillemot<\/li>\n<li>Goldeneye<\/li>\n<li>Tree Sparrow<\/li>\n<li>House Sparrow<\/li>\n<li>Greylag Goose<\/li>\n<li>Common Moorhen<\/li>\n<li>Black-headed Gull<\/li>\n<li>Herring Gull<\/li>\n<li>Great Tit<\/li>\n<li>Blue Tit<\/li>\n<li>Nuthatch<\/li>\n<li>Great Cormorant<\/li>\n<li>Tufted Duck<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If I go back next year, I&#8217;ll schedule at least a couple of days for getting further out of the city, and maybe try to hook up with some local birders.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I didn&#8217;t do a lot of birding in Norway this trip&#8211;I never did get to the wildife refuge or out into the forest&#8211;but I did take my binoculars with me most places, and there were still quite a few birds of interest.
