Along with numerous birds, I picked up my first ever live Bobcat:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/bobcat.jpg\" alt=\"Bobcat\" \/><br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I got one other life mammal Saturday, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.etc-etc.com\/sqrl.htm\">California Ground Squirrel<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/groundsquirrels.jpg\" alt=\"Two California Ground Squirrels on runway\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I noticed this wasn&#8217;t the usual Grey Squirrel I see back East from the behavior. These were hanging out in a wide open field by the model airplane runway acting like no squirrels I&#8217;ve ever seen. In fact, they were acting more like prairie dogs or meerkats than squirrels. <\/p>\n<h2>Update<\/h2>\n<p>Thinking about it, I suspect this wasn&#8217;t actually my first Bobcat.
