Going Back to Texas

I just signed up for the Rio Grande Valley Birding Festival in November. I picked the five most intense day trips they had, and I still may not see half the sites I want to visit:

I decided to pass on the photo safari and photo seminars since it would have taken time out from the birding trips. (I’m a birder who photographs more than a photographer who birds.)

I may have to stay over a few days after the festival ends to see more; but I can’t stay too long since I need to be back in New York on November 19th to lead the first ever Long Island Wild Goose Chase for the Brooklyn Bird Club. More on that soon. :-)

There are those who shoot birds with guns, those who shoot them with cameras, and those who pull them and then shoot.
