Harry Potter Pre-orders

Amazon’s taking pre-orders for the final volume in Harry Potter septology. (Is that even a word?). It’s $18.89 + shipping. If I were Amazon I’d raise the price a few bucks and offer “free” overnight shipping. For myself, I’ll probably wait till a friend finishes it, and borrow their copy like I have for the last couple of volumes. Probably won’t take any longer than shipping anyway. :-)

Oh, and if you think Dumbledore’s really dead, can I talk to you about this bridge I have for sale down at the end of Adams Street? Cheap.

Oh, he’s dead all right. And Snape had orders to kill him so as to save him from a much more horrible death by potion.

I made the mistake of pre-ordering the last Potter volume from Amazon. It was everywhere in the stores in huge piles, but I had to wait a week to get my copy.

And then I had to send it back and buy a local copy. I’m a Canadian and prefer my Harry Potter in real English rather than the bastardized dialects they sell in the USA with altered words that are not those used by the author.

So no pre-order for me. I’ll just buy a copy at the local stores when it comes out on the release date.

    Don’t you mean “bastardised”?
